In a bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.

In a separate large bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.

Divide the dough into two equal portions, wrap in plastic wrap, and refrigerate for 30 minutes.

Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Roll out one portion of the dough on a floured surface to about 1/4 inch thickness.

Cut out the desired shapes for the cookie house walls, roof, and decorations.

Transfer the cut-out shapes onto the prepared baking sheet and bake for 12-15 minutes or until lightly golden around the edges.

Remove from the oven and let cool completely on a wire rack.

Repeat steps 7-10 with the remaining dough.

Once the cookies are cooled, assemble the cookie house using royal icing as glue.
