Kabocha pumpkin is also known as Japanese pumpkin and has a naturally sweet flavor.

  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).
  2. Cut the kabocha pumpkin into small cubes and steam until soft.
  3. In a mixing bowl, combine the steamed pumpkin, all-purpose flour, unsalted butter, granulated sugar, eggs, vanilla extract, ground cinnamon, and salt. Mix well until a smooth dough forms.
  4. Press the dough into a tart pan, making sure to cover the bottom and sides evenly.
  5. Bake the tart crust in the preheated oven for 15 minutes.
  6. Remove from the oven and let it cool for 10 minutes.
  7. In a separate bowl, whip the cream until soft peaks form.
  8. Spread the whipped cream over the cooled tart crust.
  9. Sprinkle powdered sugar on top for decoration.
  10. Refrigerate the tart for at least 1 hour before serving.
  11. Slice and enjoy!
