  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Peel and slice the sweet potatoes into 1/4-inch thick rounds.
  3. In a saucepan, melt the butter and add the brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt. Stir until well combined.
  4. In a baking dish, arrange a layer of sweet potato slices. Pour half of the butter mixture over the sweet potatoes.
  5. Repeat with another layer of sweet potato slices and the remaining butter mixture.
  6. Cover the baking dish with foil and bake for 30 minutes.
  7. Remove the foil, sprinkle the pecans and marshmallows over the top, and bake for an additional 15 minutes or until the sweet potatoes are tender and the marshmallows are golden brown.
  8. Let the sweet potato bake rest for 10 minutes before serving.
