  1. Preheat the oven to 120°C (250°F). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a clean, dry mixing bowl, whisk the egg whites until stiff peaks form.
  3. Gradually add sugar while continuing to whisk until the mixture is glossy and holds its shape.
  4. Sift cocoa powder and cornstarch over the egg white mixture. Gently fold until well combined.
  5. Spoon the mixture onto the prepared baking sheet, shaping it into a round meringue shell. Create a well in the center.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 1 hour. Then, turn off the oven and leave the meringue shell inside for another hour to cool and dry out.
  7. In a saucepan, heat the low-fat milk over medium heat until steaming.
  8. Remove the saucepan from the heat and add the dark chocolate. Stir until melted and smooth.
  9. In a separate bowl, whisk the egg yolks. Gradually pour the chocolate mixture into the egg yolks, whisking constantly.
  10. Return the mixture to the saucepan and cook over low heat, stirring constantly, until it thickens into a mousse-like consistency.
  11. Remove from heat and stir in vanilla extract. Let the chocolate mousse cool.
  12. Carefully transfer the meringue shell to a serving plate. Fill the well in the center with the chocolate mousse.
  13. Garnish with fresh berries and refrigerate for at least 1 hour before serving.
  14. Slice and serve chilled.
