Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a round cake pan.

In a large bowl, mix together the flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, and salt. Cut in the butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.

In a separate bowl, whisk together the milk, egg, and vanilla extract. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined.

In a small bowl, mix together the chopped nuts, brown sugar, and cinnamon.

Spread half of the batter into the prepared cake pan. Sprinkle half of the nut mixture over the batter. Repeat with the remaining batter and nut mixture.

Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

Allow the cake to cool for 10 minutes in the pan, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.

In a small bowl, whisk together the powdered sugar and coffee to make a glaze. Drizzle the glaze over the cooled cake.
