Add the milk mixture and eggs to the dry ingredients. Mix until a soft dough forms.

Knead the dough on a lightly floured surface for about 5 minutes, until smooth and elastic.

Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a clean cloth, and let it rise in a warm place for 1 hour, or until doubled in size.

Punch down the dough and roll it out into a rectangle.

In a small bowl, mix together brown sugar and cinnamon. Sprinkle the mixture evenly over the dough.

Sprinkle raisins and chopped nuts (if using) over the cinnamon-sugar mixture.

Starting from the long side, tightly roll up the dough. Cut into 12 equal pieces.

Place the rolls in a greased baking dish, cover, and let them rise for 15 minutes.
