Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).

In a skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add chopped onion and minced garlic, sauté until translucent.

In a large bowl, combine spinach, bread crumbs, sautéed onion and garlic, Parmesan cheese, beaten egg, salt, and pepper. Mix well.

Grease a baking dish and transfer the spinach mixture into it.

Bake for 25 minutes or until the top is golden brown.

Let it rest for 5 minutes before serving.
