  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F) and grease a loaf tin.
  2. In a large bowl, mix together the wholemeal flour, mixed dried fruit, brown sugar, baking powder, ground cinnamon, and ground nutmeg.
  3. In a separate bowl, beat the eggs and then add them to the dry ingredients along with the melted butter and milk. Stir until well combined.
  4. Pour the mixture into the greased loaf tin and smooth the top.
  5. Bake in the preheated oven for 60 minutes or until a skewer inserted into the center comes out clean.
  6. Remove from the oven and let it rest in the tin for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
  7. Once cooled, slice and serve.
