In a saucepan, bring vegetable broth and milk to a boil.

Gradually whisk in the grits and reduce heat to low.

Cook for 15-20 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the grits are creamy and tender.

In a separate pan, melt butter and sauté green chilies for 2 minutes.

Add canned corn, black beans, salt, cumin, paprika, and cayenne pepper to the pan. Cook for another 5 minutes.

Stir in cheddar cheese until melted.

Serve the grits hot, topped with the southwestern mixture.
