  5. Once the dough comes together, transfer it to a lightly floured surface and knead it until smooth.
  6. Roll out the dough to a thickness of about 1/2 inch (3 cm) and cut into desired shapes using cookie cutters.
  7. Place the cookies on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  8. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown.
  9. Remove from the oven and let the cookies cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes.
