  3. In a separate bowl, cream together the butter and sugar. Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition.
  4. Gradually add the cooked sago and milk mixture to the creamed butter, sugar, and eggs. Stir in the mixed dried fruits, breadcrumbs, candied peel, mixed spice, vanilla extract, and brandy.
  5. Grease a pudding basin and pour the mixture into it. Cover with a lid or aluminum foil.
  6. Place the pudding basin in a steamer and steam for 40 minutes.
  7. Remove from the steamer and let it rest for 1 hour.
  8. Serve the sago Christmas pudding with whipped cream.
