Roasted Garlic and Sriracha Mac & Cheese
Mac and cheese is believed to have originated in Italy, but it gained popularity in the United States during the 20th century.
This is vegetarian and high protein recipe. Dish can be prepared in 50 minutes. Recipe requires some culinary experience (medium difficulty). Number of ingredients: 12.

Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).

Cook the elbow macaroni according to the package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

In a saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the flour and cook for 1-2 minutes, stirring constantly.

Gradually whisk in the milk and continue cooking until the mixture thickens.

Add the roasted garlic cloves and sriracha sauce to the saucepan, stirring well.

Remove the saucepan from heat and stir in the cheddar cheese and parmesan cheese until melted and smooth.

Season with salt and black pepper.

Add the cooked macaroni to the sauce and mix well.

Transfer the macaroni mixture to a baking dish.

In a small bowl, combine the breadcrumbs and chopped parsley. Sprinkle the mixture over the macaroni.

Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the top is golden and crispy.

Let it rest for 5 minutes before serving.
