  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, mash the ripe bananas with a fork.
  3. In a separate bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  4. In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the unsalted butter.
  5. Add the melted butter, egg, vanilla extract, and milk to the mashed bananas. Mix well.
  6. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, stirring until just combined.
  7. Fold in the chopped walnuts.
  8. Spoon the batter into a greased muffin tin, filling each cup about 3/4 full.
  9. Bake for 18-20 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
