  1. Preheat the oven to 450°F (230°C) and place a popover pan or muffin tin in the oven to heat.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together the flour and salt.
  3. In a separate bowl, beat the eggs until frothy. Gradually add the milk and continue beating.
  4. Slowly add the flour mixture to the egg mixture, whisking until smooth.
  5. Stir in the grated Jarlsberg cheese.
  6. Remove the hot pan from the oven and brush each cup with melted butter.
  7. Quickly pour the batter into the cups, filling each about 3/4 full.
  8. Bake for 15 minutes, then reduce the oven temperature to 350°F (175°C) and continue baking for another 15 minutes, or until the popovers are puffed and golden brown.
  9. Remove from the oven and let rest for 5 minutes.
  10. Serve warm.
