Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups were invented by H.B. Reese, a former dairy farmer and shipping foreman for Milton S. Hershey. He started his own candy company in the 1920s and created the iconic peanut butter cups.

Preheat the oven to 350Ā°F (175Ā°C).

In a large bowl, cream together the butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until smooth.

Add the peanut butter, egg, and vanilla extract to the bowl and mix well.

In a separate bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.

Fold in the milk chocolate chips and chopped Reese's Peanut Butter Cups.

Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto a greased or lined baking sheet.

Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown.

Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
