In a mixing bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, granulated sugar, and salt. Cut in the unsalted butter using a pastry cutter or your fingers until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.

Reserve 1 cup of the mixture for the topping. Press the remaining mixture into the prepared baking dish to form the crust.

Bake the crust in the preheated oven for 15 minutes.

Remove the crust from the oven and spread the raspberry jam evenly over the top.

In a small bowl, mix together the reserved crumb mixture, chopped walnuts, and vanilla extract. Sprinkle this mixture over the raspberry jam.

Return the baking dish to the oven and bake for an additional 25-30 minutes, or until the top is golden brown.
