Spread butter on both sides of the bread slices. Cut each slice into triangles.

Arrange half of the bread triangles in the baking dish. Sprinkle raspberries over the bread.

In a bowl, whisk together the milk, eggs, sugar, and vanilla extract. Pour the mixture over the bread and raspberries.

Arrange the remaining bread triangles on top.

Let the pudding rest for 10 minutes.
