  2. Peel and core the quince and apple, then cut them into small cubes.
  3. In a saucepan, combine the quince, apple, sugar, cinnamon, and lemon juice. Cook over medium heat until the fruits are soft and the mixture thickens, about 10 minutes.
  4. Remove from heat and stir in the butter until melted.
  5. Lay out one sheet of phyllo dough and brush it with melted butter. Repeat with the remaining sheets.
  6. Sprinkle breadcrumbs over the top sheet.
