Boil the potatoes until tender. Peel and mash them.

In a mixing bowl, combine the mashed potatoes, flour, egg, chopped onion, minced garlic, melted butter, sour cream, salt, and black pepper. Mix well.

Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).

Grease a casserole dish with butter.

Spread half of the potato mixture into the casserole dish.

Sprinkle half of the grated cheddar cheese on top.

Repeat with the remaining potato mixture and cheese.

Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes, or until golden and bubbly.
