Popovers are called so because they ‘pop over’ the sides of the pan while baking, creating a light and airy hollow center.
This is vegetarian recipe. Dish can be prepared in 50 minutes. Even a beginner can handle preparing this dish. Number of ingredients: 5.

Preheat the oven to 450°F (230°C). Grease a popover pan or muffin tin.

In a mixing bowl, whisk together flour and salt.

In a separate bowl, whisk together milk and eggs.

Gradually pour the milk and egg mixture into the flour mixture, whisking until smooth.

Stir in melted butter.

Fill each popover cup about 3/4 full with the batter.

Place the pan in the preheated oven and bake for 20 minutes.

Reduce the oven temperature to 350°F (175°C) and continue baking for an additional 15 minutes.

Remove from the oven and let the popovers rest in the pan for 5 minutes.

Serve warm.
