Cook the egg noodles according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.

In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and cook until translucent.

Add the cooked egg noodles to the skillet and mix well with the onions.

Stir in the cottage cheese, salt, and black pepper. Cook for another 5 minutes, until the cottage cheese is heated through.
