In a bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.

In a separate bowl, cream together the softened butter and sugar until light and fluffy.

Beat in the egg and vanilla extract until well combined.

Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until a dough forms.

Divide the dough in half. Leave one half plain and mix the cocoa powder into the other half.

Roll out each portion of dough into a rectangle of the same size.

Place the cocoa dough on top of the plain dough and roll them together into a tight log.

Wrap the log in plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 1 hour.

Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Slice the chilled log into 1/4-inch thick rounds and place them on the prepared baking sheet.

Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden.
