In a large bowl, mix together the flour, sugar, and salt.

Cut the butter into small pieces and add it to the flour mixture. Use a pastry cutter or your fingers to mix the butter into the flour until it resembles coarse crumbs.

Gradually add the cold water, 1 tablespoon at a time, and mix until the dough comes together.

Shape the dough into a disk, wrap it in plastic wrap, and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.

Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).

Roll out the chilled dough on a lightly floured surface to fit your pie dish.

Transfer the rolled-out dough to the pie dish and press it gently into the bottom and sides.

Trim any excess dough and crimp the edges.
