  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a loaf pan.
  2. In a large bowl, mash the ripe persimmons.
  3. In a separate bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, granulated sugar, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
  4. In a mixing bowl, cream together the unsalted butter and eggs. Add the mashed persimmons and vanilla extract.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined. Stir in the chopped walnuts and raisins.
  6. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and smooth the top.
  7. Bake for 50-60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  8. Remove from the oven and let the bread cool in the pan for 10 minutes. Then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
  9. Slice and serve.
