  3. Add the vanilla extract, flour, cocoa powder, instant coffee granules, and peppermint extract to the bowl. Mix until well combined.
  4. Roll the dough into 1-inch balls and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  5. Flatten each ball with the bottom of a glass and sprinkle crushed candy canes on top.
