Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

In a small saucepan, melt the butter over low heat. Add the black tea leaves and let steep for 5 minutes. Strain the butter to remove the tea leaves.

In a large mixing bowl, combine the pancake mix, all-purpose flour, baking powder, salt, and sugar. Mix well.

In a separate bowl, whisk together the milk, egg, vanilla extract, and infused butter.

Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined.

Transfer the dough onto a lightly floured surface and gently knead it a few times until it comes together.

Shape the dough into a circle, about 1 inch thick. Use a round cookie cutter or glass to cut out scones.

Place the scones onto the prepared baking sheet and bake for 15-20 minutes, or until golden brown.
