  1. Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. Roll out one of the pie crusts and place it in a 9-inch pie dish.
  3. In a large bowl, mix together the sliced apples, sugar, flour, cinnamon, nutmeg, salt, and lemon juice.
  4. Pour the apple mixture into the pie crust.
  5. Dot the top of the apple mixture with small pieces of butter.
  6. Roll out the second pie crust and place it over the apple filling.
  7. Trim any excess crust and crimp the edges to seal.
  8. Cut a few slits in the top crust to allow steam to escape.
  9. Bake the pie in the preheated oven for 40-50 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the filling is bubbly.
  10. Remove the pie from the oven and let it cool for at least 30 minutes before serving.
