Oatmeal Shortbread
Shortbread originated in Scotland and has been enjoyed for centuries. It was traditionally made with just three ingredients: butter, sugar, and flour.
This is vegetarian recipe. Dish can be prepared in 70 minutes. Recipe requires some culinary experience (medium difficulty). Number of ingredients: 6.

Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).

In a mixing bowl, combine oats, flour, sugar, and salt.

Cut the butter into small pieces and add it to the bowl.

Add vanilla extract and mix until the ingredients form a crumbly dough.

Press the dough into a greased baking pan and smooth the surface.

Bake for 20-25 minutes or until the edges turn golden brown.

Remove from the oven and let it cool in the pan for 10 minutes.

Cut into squares while still warm and transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.

Allow the shortbread to rest for 30 minutes before serving.
