  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together oats, flour, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
  3. In a large bowl, cream together the butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
  4. Beat in the egg, molasses, and vanilla extract.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and mix until well combined.
  6. Stir in the raisins and chopped walnuts.
  7. Drop tablespoonfuls of dough onto ungreased baking sheets, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
  8. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until golden brown.
  9. Allow to cool on the baking sheets for 5 minutes, then transfer to wire racks to cool completely.
