Cook the macaroni according to the package instructions, then drain and set aside.

In a large saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat.

Gradually whisk in the milk and cook until the mixture thickens.

Remove from heat and stir in the Dijon mustard, salt, black pepper, and paprika.
