The chocolate chip cookie was invented by Ruth Graves Wakefield in 1938. She ran the Toll House Inn in Massachusetts and added chopped up bits of a Nestle semi-sweet chocolate bar to her cookie dough, expecting the chocolate to melt and create an all-chocolate cookie. Instead, the chocolate bits retained their shape and the chocolate chip cookie was born!
This is vegetarian recipe. Dish can be prepared in 55 minutes. Recipe requires some culinary experience (medium difficulty). Number of ingredients: 10.
