Peel and grate the potatoes. Squeeze out any excess moisture.

In a large bowl, combine the grated potatoes, flour, milk, egg, salt, and black pepper. Mix well.

Heat a tablespoon of butter in a non-stick pan over medium heat.

Drop large spoonfuls of the potato mixture onto the pan and flatten them into pancakes.

Cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side, until golden brown.

Repeat with the remaining potato mixture, adding more butter to the pan as needed.
