Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9-inch round cake pan.

In a mixing bowl, mash the ripe bananas with a fork until smooth.

In a separate bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.

In a large mixing bowl, cream together the unsalted butter and eggs until light and fluffy. Stir in the mashed bananas and vanilla extract.

Gradually add the dry ingredients to the banana mixture, alternating with the milk. Mix until just combined.

Stir in the vegetable oil until well incorporated.

Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan and smooth the top.
