Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).

In a medium saucepan, bring water and butter to a boil.

Add flour and stir vigorously until mixture forms a ball.

Remove from heat and let cool for 5 minutes.

Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition until smooth.

Drop teaspoonfuls of dough onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

Bake for 20-25 minutes or until puffed and golden brown.

Remove from oven and let cool completely.

Cut each cream puff in half horizontally.

Fill bottom half with whipped cream and replace top half.

Dust with powdered sugar and add a drop of food coloring if desired.
