In a mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, milk, eggs, vanilla extract, and salt until smooth.

Divide the cherries evenly among the muffin cups.

Pour the batter over the cherries, filling each cup about 3/4 full.

Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the clafoutis is set and golden brown.

While the clafoutis is baking, melt the dark chocolate in a heatproof bowl set over a pan of simmering water.

In a separate bowl, whip the heavy cream and powdered sugar until soft peaks form.

Once the clafoutis is done, remove from the oven and let it cool for 10 minutes.

Drizzle the melted chocolate over the clafoutis and serve with a dollop of chocolate whipped cream.
