Mary’s Bread Pudding
Bread pudding is believed to have originated in the 11th or 12th century as a way to use stale bread and avoid waste.

Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).

Grease a baking dish.

Cut the bread into cubes.

In a large bowl, whisk together the milk, sugar, eggs, vanilla extract, and cinnamon.

Add the bread cubes and raisins to the bowl and mix well.

Pour the mixture into the greased baking dish.

Dot the top with butter.

Bake for 45 minutes, or until the pudding is set and golden brown.

Remove from the oven and let it rest for 10 minutes.
