  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a madeleine pan with butter or non-stick spray.
  2. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
  3. In a separate bowl, beat the eggs and granulated sugar until light and fluffy. Stir in the vanilla extract.
  4. Melt the butter in a small saucepan over low heat until it turns golden brown, then remove from heat and stir in the lemon zest.
