  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease and flour the Madeleine molds.
  2. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
  3. In a separate bowl, beat the sugar and eggs together until pale and fluffy.
  4. Add the melted butter, vanilla extract, and lemon zest to the egg mixture and mix well.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
  6. Spoon the batter into the prepared Madeleine molds, filling each mold about 3/4 full.
  7. Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown.
  8. Remove from the oven and let the Madeleines cool in the molds for a few minutes.
  9. Transfer the Madeleines to a wire rack and let them cool completely.
  10. Dust with powdered sugar before serving.
