Layered Casserole
Casseroles have been a popular dish since ancient times, with evidence of similar layered dishes found in ancient Roman and Greek cuisine.
This is vegetarian and high protein recipe. Dish can be prepared in 70 minutes. Recipe requires some culinary experience (medium difficulty). Number of ingredients: 12.

Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).

In a large skillet, cook the ground beef, onion, and garlic over medium heat until the beef is browned. Drain any excess fat.

Stir in the tomato sauce, oregano, salt, and black pepper. Simmer for 10 minutes.

In a separate pot, cook the lasagna noodles according to the package instructions. Drain and set aside.

In a baking dish, spread a layer of the meat sauce. Top with a layer of lasagna noodles. Spread a layer of ricotta cheese over the noodles. Sprinkle with parmesan cheese and mozzarella cheese. Repeat the layers until all ingredients are used, ending with a layer of cheese.

Cover the baking dish with foil and bake for 30 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 10 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and golden.

Let the casserole rest for 10 minutes before serving. Garnish with fresh basil leaves.
