In a mixing bowl, combine the flour and granulated sugar.

Add the egg yolks, vegetable oil, white wine, and lemon zest. Mix well until the dough comes together.

On a floured surface, knead the dough for a few minutes until it becomes smooth.

Divide the dough into small pieces and roll each piece into a thin strip.

Twist the strips into a knot or shape them as desired.

Heat vegetable oil in a deep pan or fryer.

Fry the krostule until golden brown on both sides.

Remove from the oil and let them rest on paper towels to absorb excess oil.
