Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).

In a mixing bowl, combine the mixed berries, granulated sugar, lemon juice, and cornstarch. Stir until the berries are coated.

In a separate bowl, mix the all-purpose flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, and salt. Cut in the unsalted butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.

Stir in the milk and vanilla extract until just combined.

Pour the berry mixture into a greased baking dish.

Drop spoonfuls of the batter over the berries.

Bake for 35-40 minutes until the topping is golden brown and the berries are bubbling.
