Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).

In a mixing bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until smooth.

Press the dough into the bottom of a greased baking dish.

Sprinkle the pecans over the dough.

Drizzle the caramel sauce over the pecans.

In a separate bowl, beat the eggs and vanilla extract together.

Pour the egg mixture over the caramel layer.
