Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

In a medium bowl, combine the rolled oats, all-purpose flour, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.

In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in the egg and vanilla extract.

Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined. Stir in the raisins and chopped walnuts.

Drop rounded tablespoonfuls of dough onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.

Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown. Remove from the oven and let the cookies cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes.

Transfer the cookies to a wire rack to cool completely.
