  1. Preheat the oven to 450°F (230°C) and place a popover pan in the oven to heat up.
  2. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, salt, and baking powder.
  3. In a separate bowl, beat the eggs and then add the milk. Mix well.
  4. Gradually add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients, stirring until just combined. Do not overmix.
  5. Fold in the chopped jalapeno peppers and shredded cheddar cheese.
  6. Carefully remove the hot popover pan from the oven and brush each cup with melted butter.
  7. Fill each cup about 2/3 full with the batter.
  8. Bake for 20 minutes, then reduce the oven temperature to 350°F (175°C) and bake for an additional 5 minutes.
  9. Remove the popovers from the oven and let them rest in the pan for 5 minutes.
  10. Serve warm.
