  3. Cut in the butter using a pastry cutter or your fingers until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the honey, Irish whiskey, and buttermilk.
  5. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and mix until just combined.
  6. Turn the dough out onto a floured surface and knead it gently a few times to bring it together.
  7. Shape the dough into a round loaf and place it on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
