Irish Shamrock Cookies
Shamrocks are a symbol of Ireland and are said to bring good luck. These cookies are a delicious way to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day!
This is vegetarian recipe. Dish can be prepared in 60 minutes. Recipe requires some culinary experience (medium difficulty). Number of ingredients: 8.

In a mixing bowl, cream together butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.

Beat in the egg and vanilla extract.

In a separate bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour and baking powder.

Gradually add the dry ingredients to the butter mixture, mixing well after each addition.

Add green food coloring and mix until evenly distributed.

Divide the dough into two equal parts, shape each part into a disc, and wrap in plastic wrap. Refrigerate for 30 minutes.

Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Roll out the chilled dough on a lightly floured surface to about 1/4 inch thickness.

Use a shamrock-shaped cookie cutter to cut out cookies and place them on the prepared baking sheet.

Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are lightly golden.

Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes, then transfer them to a wire rack to cool completely.

Dust the cooled cookies with powdered sugar.
