In a large bowl, combine flour, instant yeast, sugar, and salt.

Add butter, milk, and egg to the bowl and mix until a dough forms.

Knead the dough for 5 minutes, then cover and let it rest for 1 hour.

Roll out the dough to a thickness of 1/2 inch.

Cut out circles using a donut cutter or a glass.

Heat vegetable oil in a deep pan and fry the cronuts until golden brown.

Drain the cronuts on a paper towel to remove excess oil.

In a separate bowl, mix powdered sugar and vanilla extract to make the glaze.
