  2. In a mixing bowl, mash the ripe bananas until smooth.
  3. In a separate bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, whole wheat flour, baking soda, and salt.
  4. In a large mixing bowl, cream together the unsalted butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
  5. Beat in the egg and vanilla extract.
  6. Mix in the mashed bananas and sour cream.
  7. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
  8. Fold in the chopped walnuts.
  9. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan.
