Hazelnut Madeleines

Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease and flour madeleine molds.

In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, ground hazelnuts, baking powder, and salt.

In a separate large bowl, whisk together the melted butter, sugar, eggs, vanilla extract, and lemon zest.

Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, stirring until just combined.

Spoon the batter into the prepared madeleine molds, filling each about 3/4 full.

Bake for 8-10 minutes, or until the madeleines are golden brown around the edges.

Remove from the oven and let the madeleines cool in the molds for a few minutes.

Gently remove the madeleines from the molds and transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
