Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and line a square baking pan.

In a food processor, pulse the hazelnuts until finely ground.

In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the butter and dark chocolate together, stirring until smooth.

In a separate mixing bowl, whisk together the sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract.

Gradually pour the melted chocolate mixture into the egg mixture, stirring continuously.

Sift in the flour, cocoa powder, and salt. Fold gently until just combined.

Stir in the ground hazelnuts.

Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and spread it evenly.

Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.

Remove from the oven and let it cool in the pan for 10 minutes. Then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
